Karin Finegan - Export Advisor
Karin joined us from Trade Partners UK, and brought to Glasgow Exports her extensive knowledge and experience of the UK government's trade development support and strategy.

She spent over 10 years promoting and developing overseas markets for the UK oil and gas supply chain, where she worked with industry, contractors, oil companies and foreign governments to maximise opportunities. More recently she worked across all industry sectors in partnership with trade associations to improve the performance of UK companies in preparing for exporting and to take advantage of their investment at international trade shows and seminars.

She is aware of many of the issues facing companies wishing to do business in international markets, and is experienced in international marketing, trade strategy and development.

Alex McGuire - Export Adviser
A business graduate with 20 years' private sector experience, Alex has worked in management across production, contracts, customer service, export sales and marketing. In his previous role, he was part of a team that achieved a Queen's Award for Export Achievement. He joined us in January 1998.

Alex works with companies to adopt a strategic approach to international trade activities. His commercial experience allows him to highlight the impact exports will have on the whole business and specific functions - such as finance and human resources.

Carol A. Malcolm - Export Partnership Counsellor
Carol has a huge range of experience in the textile industry. She worked through Production, Design and Product Development - then became Managing Director. In turn, she negotiated contracts with major retailers in the UK and Export Markets.

After an MBA from Strathclyde Graduate Business School, Carol transferred her skills to help companies in strategic development of export markets.

Misha Botting - Information and Research Executive.
Born in Moscow, Misha trained as classical ballet dancer - and worked with Scottish Ballet before graduating from Glasgow Caledonian Business School.

He joined Glasgow Exports in January 2001, specialising in international marketing research and maintaining our database.
